This year has been the best year since we have been here with 11479 Brown Trout recorded in the fishing log.

The best fish this year and the winner of the Ian Hay challenge cup, and a bottle of malt, was a fish of 5.5 lb caught by Zander Kennie on the 27th August. A bottle of malt will be on its way to Zander with our congratulations.

Seatrout were down a bit from last year with 319 recorded, best being 3.5lb to Colin Munro.

Salmon were well up with 123 recorded, most returned. The best salmon caught on the Loch Stack to a hotel guest, and winner of the Ghillies trophy was recorded at 13lb and caught by June Peterson. Well done June and a bottle of malt will be on its way.

Finally our new award, ' The Molly Quaish', awarded for the best Brown Trout caught during the season by a lady angler,has been won by Karen Hodgson with a superb Brown trout of 3lb from Peters. A bottle of malt will again be on its way to Karen.

So overall a great season with thanks to all of our guests for making it such a memorable year. The boats are all in and we are battening down the hatches for the winter and already looking forward to next season.
